WordPress newsletter plugin – wp-ajax-newsletter

AJAX, Wordpress

Here is one great newsletter plugin for wordpress, believe me i have tried them all but every single one had problems. For example i tried the subscribe2 newsletter plugin but it turns out it has big issue with the Related Post inserted by the Simple Tags plugin.

What i mean is that bellow the subscribe2 widget in sidebar i get Related post. Maybe its the Simple Tags plugin that has problems, i dont care as long as they dont work together, Simple tags is more important so i discarded the subscribe2 plugin. Then i tried the email notification plugin, and it was ok until i started posting items. Every time i Published a new post, i got this page full of errors, and the emails were not sent to all of my subscribers, very messy.

So i discarded this one to. And finally i found this plugin name Wp Ajax Newsletter, its fairly new as a project, and doesent have too many features, in fact the email are send in plain text, but what i love about it its the Ajax front-end which is very stylish and easy to configure and style by your needs. It doesent conflict with any other plugin so there is no worry on this. And if you care too much about HTML emails, the author is saying that the feature will be added to the next version.

Thank you for this recommendation :) I’ve tried a bunch of newsletter plugins also, and this is the only one that worked flawlessly so far.

Hey I downloaded this plugin you suggested and its cool for the frontend.

Though I modified it to send posts as html emails and also implemented tinymce in the admin area. This tinymce allows me to send html emails/offers/newsletter etc directly from the admin itself and also stores it in the DB. By storing it in the DB, whenever I get in the admin, my last sent newsletter is loaded in the tinymce.

Now only thing left is to make auto sending emails optional because I prefer to send my newsletter whenever I want it :)

Thanks for refering the plugin though.
